Historians of Ancient Greece

Herodotus was the first historian of ancient Greece. Much of what we know about early Greece, and of the known world up to his time, comes from his writings. He lived in the fifth century, and traveled around Greece documenting the war between the Greeks and the Persians. Another Greek, Thucydides of Athens, recorded the war between Athens and Sparta
