Temple of the Jaguars

The lower part of the temple was believed to be built as the first in a series of buildings and walls which make up the large ball court at Chichen Itza. Most experts would agree that the lower part of the temple was built at or near the same time as El Castillo. The upper part of the temple was constructed between 800 and 1050.
