Monte Alban

     The Zapotecs occupied Monte Alban for over 1000 years. The city came to it's height between 200-700 AD. It had a population of approximately 24,000 living at the site during it's peak. Monte Alban dominated the area of the Oaxaca Valley in central Mexico.
