The Palace is built on a base of 300 foot by 240 foot. It is believed to be the administration area of the government of Palenque. There is no evidence that it was ever used as a residence for any of the government officials. The palace was built between 650-770 AD. (Fergson & Royce, 1977)

The tower base is 24' by 23.5' built by Hok, the second son of Pacal about 721 AD. The tower is 4 stories high. (Fergson & Royce, 1977)
