Temple of the Foliated Cross

     The temple was built around 690 AD to celebrate the transition from Pacal to Chan-Bahlum his son. This building along, with the Temple of the Sun and Temple of the Cross, were all believed to built around the same time. (Fergson & Royce, 1977)

Temples IV, III and II

Temple IV were built about 702 AD after the death of Chan-Bahlum, by his brother Hok. Temples III and II were built later around 721 AD by either Hok or his son Chaacal III. These along with several other structures are know as the North Group of temples in Palenque. (Fergson & Royce, 1977)
