Uxmal

Pyramid of the Magician

The Pyramid of the Magician was believed to be built near the end of the Classical Mayan period. The Classical period lasted until 950 AD. The pyramid has 90 steps which are set at a 60° angle which makes them very steep. The temple was called Casa De Adivino by the Spanish. Casa De Adivino means the house of the prophet or soothsayer in Spanish. (Fergson & Royce, 1977)
